Since 1994, Mobility Lab, Inc. (MLi) has served as a vital partner to the Canadian Armed Forces, Paramilitary, Search and Rescue, and First Responders. We design, develop, and source specialized parachuting and rescue equipment, and deliver unparalleled tactical training so that our country’s essential personnel are fully equipped to succeed.

Our Story
Our founder, Barry Mason, has long been a pioneer in aviation. He started his career as a bush pilot and, later, wholeheartedly shifted to the world of parachuting. He became a jump pilot, started skydiving, owned and operated a dropzone, and tinkered with technology that would streamline every aspect of the parachuting experience.
Barry’s novel ideas caught the attention of various entities – specifically the application of radio control and GPS to parachute steering – and his specialty products became in demand on a national and international scale.
Continuing the Legacy
Today, Barry’s son Jake Mason is at the helm of both Mobility Lab and neighbouring Parachute Ottawa, the combined facilities and capabilities of which make MLi Canada’s preferred military parachute training location.
